Recipes Don't Go Bad

Last year for Christmas my mother-in-law gave me a subscription to the magazine, Cooking Light.  I enjoyed getting the magazine each month and seeing the wonderful new recipes.  However, I probably only cooked 1-3 recipes from the magazine each month.

Luckily, I saved the magazines and the recipes.

I even marked a couple recipes that I really liked, when the magazine was "new".

I was happy to fill in a couple nicer and more intensive dinners into our meal planning calendar for the weekends.  I'm looking forward to homemade (slightly light) fried chicken later on this month.

I loved going back through the magazines and discovering new things to cook.  The gift given Christmas 2008 is still being used in 2010.

Today I made Cajun Red Beans and Rice from the January/February 2009 issue of Cooking Light.

What magazines do you like to read for recipes?  I like Cooking Light, Clean Eating and Weight Watchers.

I always see good recipes in mags like Shape and Fitness but never give them a try. I forget to bookmark them and end up tossing them or passing them along to others. But I LOVE gifts that you can use anytime and continue to enjoy. Those are the best!

I like clean eating or cooking light. Or I just check out allrecpies.com and look for light version of recipes.

I have every Rachael Ray magazine since it started, and I think I've only cooked five recipes! I keep them on my bookshelf though, and sort through them seasonly.

I like cooking light- I need to subscribe! I subscribe to all of the health magazines and each month I dog ear the recipes I want to make and rip out the pages and place them into a folder. They usually just sit in a drawer. I need to go through them, thanks for the reminder!

I always want to cook the recipes from the magazines, but then I forget. I always play around on google with recipes and then bookmark them in by recipe folder. I am going to have to try out some in the magazines.

I used to have a Cooking Light subscription, but I did not use the recipes all thay much, after going vegan.
I still find their website pretty useful.
Vegetarian Times is my favorite recipe magazine.

I love all of the magazines you mentioned. Lately I have been finding a ton of recipes on blogs. I've started to keep track of all of them in a separate binder. Usually with magazines I pull out the recipes I want and file them. Otherwise I would have a stack of magazines overtaking my house!!

I do love Southern Living... which along with Cooking Light, is published right here in my home town! And every Christmas my mom and dad give me the Annual Recipes cookbook, so I don't have to keep all the magazines! I do a lot online, too!

Cooking Light is one of my faves. I love how they have different articles in there, too - from fitness to general health, it's just interesting!

I subscribe to SHAPE. I love how magazines are a gift that keeps on giving! I tear out pages and refer to them years later!
