A (Wo)Man with a Plan

As a general rule I enjoy Sunday nights.  I enjoy the calm, relaxed nature of them.  Most Sunday afternoons I am busy preparing for the week.  I pre-cook many items for the week's meals, plan any outdoor exercise by the 10 day weather forecast, create a plan of other exercise including the Thanksgiving's 30DS Challenge and do any number of things for school.  So after the business of Sunday afternoon comes the quiet of Sunday evening.

This Sunday evening I spent on my bed with this week's agenda page staring right back at me.  A whole new fresh week is beginning.

My goal this week is to plan out my eats as much as possible the night before and stick with the plan.  I did this last spring and it really helped me lose some weight.  I don't need to lose much weight right now (3 lbs) to get back to where I was maintaining during the summer but I know the key to success for me is tracking my calories.  I tend to be a grazer so without a plan I will graze.  So I wrote out Moday's plan.

I am also not going to weigh myself until the end of the month (a few days less than 2 weeks away).  I'm going to use my calorie-tracking as my progress instead of my weight.  I will weigh myself the morning of Halloween.  I hope the number will be a "treat" not a "trick".

Then I enjoyed some time with my favorite person and canine.

Do you make a plan for the week?  Do you have any goals for the week?

This is a good idea.

I do some mental goals, but dont write them out....maybe I should.

My goals for this week are to get in 2 days of strength training and not drink any Diet Soda!

Monday morning I always plan out my food and work-outs for the week. That way I can stay on track and prepared. It helps me SO much!

I always have a plan in my head... but don't stick to it a lot of the time. I'm going to have to start writing it out and see if that works better for me.

It's scary how much on the same page we are. I've let this past week after my half marathon be a free-for-all with the food. Between my taper, rest, and free-for-all I've gained 2 lbs. Not a lot, but I still have 30 lbs to lose by June to reach my goal weight.

I am a planner by nature. I plan things way in advance and like to stick to those plans.

My eating works best when I plan it out, yet I find myself AGAIN not having a plan! UGH - why do I do this?

Starting tonight after the grocery store - I'm making a plan and sticking to it!

They say you are about 80% more likely to accomplish your goals if you write them down and look at them about once a day. I need to start making time to write out my goals for week.

Good plan and great idea about using the forecast. I never do that. I do look at my mileage plan for the week and dread the days I don't feel like running more than 5 miles. LOL!

Good luck with those goals. 3 lbs is nothing. Cute friends you got there. ;)

I love the photos of Ella! She is such a beautiful dog!

You are awesome for being such a great planner. Good for you! Most weeks, I make a dinner plan and we stick to it. We shop on the weekend so we know we have everything we need for the week. I don't plan out my breakfasts and lunches, but I generally eat the same things. I do like to plan out my workouts at the beginning of each week too!

I don't usually have a plan for the week but I really should. I'm in the same boat as you right now. I only want to lose 3-4 pounds to get back to my maintaining weight. I just haven't had the motivation to start losing again yet!

I love this idea!! Sometimes I sorely, sorely miss the days of writing to keep track! Can't wait to see your Halloween weigh - best of luck!!
