Unfortunately, I have been suffering with bad allergies and currently have a nasty cough. I didn't feel comfortable running or doing things that might make my breathing too labored. So I decided to do high incline walking at the beginning and end of my workout then do lots of arms and abs.
It was a great strength workout. I would have loved to have felt better and be able to really push myself with cardio but that wasn't in the cards today. I think having a plan for me with strength training is really important. I don't know much about strength training (I am hoping to get an appointment with a strength trainer soon) so I often just play around with strength training, get bored and leave. Having a list of tasks to complete made a big difference in my workout. Do you have a plan when going in to workout or do strength training? Did you notice a change in your actions?

I have to have a plan when I head to the gym or else I give up too quickly! I set a schedule for the week each Monday and I bring my cardio/strength work-outs with me each day!
I like the different gmail functions. I use the reader but have never checked out the task function. I'll have to look into that!
I have gmail but had no idea about the Tasks function! I tend to just use the most basic functions (sending email lol). I'm gunna check that out now though :)
Lately I've been bad with my workouts. I basically do the same thing every day! I just got a Wii Fit today though so I hope it helps me change up my strength training routine.
Weight lifting equipment scares because I don't know what to do and I feel like the people in that section of the gym have a routine and do not want to be stalled by me reading the instructions on each piece!
To ensure I get a good strength training workout I go to a group class at the gym. I know that every muscle is being worked, there's an instructor nearby to show me the correct form, and feel like my time is fully utilized. If I branch out on my own I try to use workout plans found in Fitness magazine!
I dont have a plan when I strength train, maybe that is why I hate it so much. I should probably start planning it our beforehand.
Good for you for listening to your body. I think it's great to still work out when you are sick but we definitely have to take it easy! I need to look into this task manager. I use gmail but I haven't discovered the task manager part!
I love igoogle. I can put everything I need for the day all on one screen. Makes my stress level drop.
Neat! I've never used Tasks in Google before. My husband and I use a Google Calendar to keep up with our day to day activities though. We're both really busy and it helps us figure out what's going on when we have it all on a calendar.
I always have a plan when I go to the gym. My weight training is a pretty set routine, but I vary which exercises I do depending on how I feel. I am a planner too. I'd hate going to the gym and not knowing what I needed to do when I got there!
I use Gmail but have never used the task manager. It looks super helpful, I should look into it! Hope you feel better soon.
Hope your allergies let up soon. What a pain!
I am the worst at sticking to strength training. I gotta get back at it.
