October Challenges

Thank you all so much for the kind comments.  I appreciate your prayers for my family.

I decided this month to list some things I want to do.  This month I want to...
  • bake with more seasonal foods
  • send out "We moved" cards
  • begin and almost complete Christmas "to buy" list
  • buy Christmas cards
  • sign up for "Take One" of National Board Certification in Teaching
  • run 10K (this Saturday)
  • clean and set up our dinning room
  • prepare for and have a yard-sale
  • run 7-8 miles
  • decorate our home with seasonal/fall items
  • plant pansies and new bushes at the front of our house (see yard-sale for extra cash)

There are several things I hope to do this month
  • go to winery with Husband
  • attend a football game at my high school
  • attend my school's fall festival/trunk-or-treat
  • carve a jack-o-lantern with my class.  They love pulling out the strings and pulp.
  • drink hot chocolate outside under a blanket
Big plans for the month?

You should let us know how cooking with seasonal foods goes. That's always my goal, but it is so easy to stick to the quick and easy favorites!

Good luck with your list, I might make one too (Since I could clearly use more organization in my life)

It could also mean that I've been watching too much of the Rachel Zoe Project. I just can't get enough!

There's so many things I want to do this month. I never end up doing any though :( I definitely want to run at least 3 times a week to train for a race in November and go pumpkin picking with my girlfriends!

Best of luck on your 10K this weekend!

My big plans are my marathon and I hope to beat my previous time.
Other than that, I really hope we get closer to buying a house : /

Just wanted to let you know your whole family is in my thoughts, I am glad your grandfather is no longer in pain, but I know it's still hard for you guys.

Also, I love your list. I LOVE going to wineries and it's a great idea to make your house feel festively fall. Also, good luck in your 10k this weekend!

Thank you! It has definitely been a tough year, BUT I feel like I've grown so much and we've grown so much as a couple. Being forced to be apart makes you face challenges head on.
