This morning Husband and I ran 5.3 miles. We are preparing for our run next week -- an 8K, 4.96 miles. We ran it in 51:15, so less than 10 minutes a mile... which is really good for us. By the end our feet were tired!
After coming home, painting and showering we decided to go shopping for several different things. It was a great day to shop as the stores were not crowded at all. I ended up buying a dri-fit cotton shirt for the race next week and a new pair of running shoes. I compared the new shoes to the shoes I currently own.
We ended our shopping trip by stopping by Lowe's for some painting supplies. We are going to paint our bedroom the same color as our current bedroom -- a pale blue. We took an old container of the paint (saved for touch-ups) to Lowes to have it color-matched. As we were leaving we had to get our buggie over a median and when we did the container of paint we brought from home fell to the ground and broke, spelling paint everywhere. Sadly, my flip-flops were not something that should have been painted.
Our fourth of July plans were to go to a family friend's home for a cookout. I did really well and didn't overeat but did enjoy some homemade chocolate icecream. Before leaving I had to dip my feet in the pool.
Once my feet were at home I realized all the pictures throughout the day had been of my feet. I decided that since it was a good hair day I should document it with some family pictures.
Currently my feet are stretched out on the bed. Husband and I are enjoying the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. When the fireworks start my feet will be out on the porch enjoying the show! Happy Fourth of July!

I love this post! So cute and creative!
It looks like you had a great day and spent it with the ones you love. You told me your favorite treats at a BBQ were home grown fruits--we didn't have any at ours...ahh! But I did want some!
